To celebrate their Centenary, Haviland & Parlon has created an exceptional collection, Garden Party, in collaboration with Stefany Bellamy.

Its design is a vibrant tribute to the colour, nature, timeless beauty and creativity that have shaped the manufacture's history for 100 years. We wanted to find out more about what inspired them to develop this new symphony, and how it truly celebrates

the exceptional know-how of what's become a pillar of Limoges' history.

What was your inspiration for the Garden Party tableware collection?

The Garden Party collection is a vibrant celebration of nature, colour and joy. We wanted to mark our centenary with a tribute to the creativity and timeless beauty that

have defined Haviland & Parlon for 100 years.

The inspiration came from the palette of colours we are working with every day, and a desire to evoke a floral symphony - lively, enchanting, and filled with the emotion of shared, festive moments.

What drew you to Stefany Bellamy as designer of this special collection?

We chose to collaborate with Stefany Bellamy because her artistic universe is perfectly aligned with our values. Her sensitivity to colour, her refined yet expressive style, and her ability to interpret floral themes with elegance and depth made her the ideal partner to bring this anniversary vision to life.

Is this the most technically ambitious decal design you've worked with?

Yes, this is one the most complex designs we've ever developed. The design required an exceptional level of detail, including the layering of multiple vibrant colours and the precision alignment of fine gold accents. It demanded a seamless collaboration between the artistic vision and the technical expertise of our craftsmen.

So it really celebrates the savoir-faire of the entire process, from design to production?

Indeed. Garden Party is the embodiment of Haviland & Parlon's know-how - from the artist's concept to the precise execution by our manufacture. For tableware pieces such as cups, our craftsmen have to be very precise in order to align the drawings perfectly. Every plate reflects the discipline, finesse, and pride of our manufacturing heritage which

performs in chromolithography and hand painted craftsmanship.

Is the porcelain shape an existing one from your catalogue, and what makes it perfect for this design?

Yes, the shape is a classic from our collection, known for its timeless elegance. Its soft lines and luminous white porcelain provide the perfect canvas to let the colours and floral patterns blossom. It creates a natural harmony between the form and the design, enhancing the overall visual impact.

Is it a limited-edition collection, or do you hope it will become one of the signatures of the brand?

While it was created to mark our 100th anniversary, we envision Garden Party as more than a commemorative piece. Its beauty and emotional resonance make it a strong candidate to become one of our iconic collections - one that continues to tell our story for years to come.

Can the collection easily be combined with others in the catalogue?

Yes, Garden Party was designed with versatility in mind. Its vibrant yet balanced palette allows it to be mixed with other elegant, more minimal collections from our catalogue such as Colette with its colourful edge, Eventail, Lexington or even Coco offering our clients the opportunity to personalise their table settings with unique combinations.

You've created four dessert plate designs; do you think they could become a collectible set to mark your centenary?

Definitely. Each dessert plate is a unique variation on the floral theme, making them both decorative and collectible. Together, they form a joyful, artistic set that reflects the spirit of celebration - an ideal tribute to our 100-year journey.

What are some other changes you've made in recent years as a foundation for the next hundred years?

We've invested significantly in the modernisation of our production facilities, while preserving the artisanal processes that define our identity. We also relaunched a former collection like Eventail, but this time with our current palette of colours, to combine past and present with elegance. These changes are part of our long-term

vision: to honour our heritage while continuing to evolve.

Is Limoges porcelain still as popular today as it has been for the last century?

Absolutely. Limoges porcelain remains a symbol of excellence and French savoir-faire around the world. Its authenticity, refinement and emotional resonance continue to inspire both long-time collectors and new generations seeking meaningful beauty.
